Ganesh Chaturthi Visarjan events least 19 killed

As the celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi concluded on Friday, at least 19 people passed on in different incidents that happened during the immersion of Ganesh icons in parts of Maharashtra, police said on Saturday.
Out of this, 14 individuals passed on due to suffocating accidents. In the meantime, In the Wardha locale three people suffocated at Sawangi, whereas another one suffocated at Devli, an official said. Two people suffocated in a lake in the Yavatmal area when they went for immersion of idols, he said. The 10-day Ganesh celebration, which began on August 31, finished on Friday.
HARYANA
Six individuals were drowned while immersing idols of Lord Ganesh in Haryana’s Mahendergarh and Sonipat areas on Friday evening, officials said.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar took to Twitter and said, “The news of the awkward passing of numerous individuals due to suffocating amid Ganpati drenching in Mahendragarh and Sonipat areas is heart-wrenching.”
“We all stand with families of the dead in this troublesome time. The NDRF group has spared numerous individuals from suffocating, I supplicate for their rapid recuperation,” Khattar tweeted in Hindi.
