Janhvi Kapoor is an Indian actress who works in Bollywood movies. The daughter of film actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, she made her acting debut in 2018 with the romantic drama Dhadak, which was commercially successful.
Her subsequent theatrical releases were not so successful, but she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress for playing the titular aviator in Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl which was released in 2020 and a woman stucked in a freezer in Mili which was released in 2022.
Ulajh is an upcoming Indian spy thriller film which is directed by Sudhanshu Saria and produced by Vineet Jain under Junglee Pictures. The cast of the film is Janhvi Kapoor, Gulshan Devaiah, Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang and Adil Hussain in the lead roles.
The plot focuses on a young IFS officer, whose family has a legacy of patriotism, who becomes embroiled in a dangerous personal conspiracy amidst a career-defining post far from her home. The film was announced in May 2023 and was shot in India and London, with principal photography beginning in June 2023 and ending by September 2023.[5] Ulajh is scheduled to release on 2 August 2024.
