Let’s summarize Mirzapur Season 1 & 2 before moving to Mirzapur Season 3 Review

Season 1

In this season, we met the Tripathi family which was guided by Kaleen Tripathi (played by Pankaj Tripathi) who used to deal in illegal arms and opium trade in Mirzapur. This web series starts with a very violent incident which happens in a wedding where Munna Tripathi (played by Divyendu Sharma), son of Kaleen, shoots the groom, which creates a lot of tension between Tripathis and Pandit brothers.

Guddu Pandit (played by Ali Fazal) and his brother Bablu (played by Vikrant Massey) both get entangled in the Tripathi family when they narrowly escape Munna’s wrath. Guddu falls in love with Sweety Gupta (played by Shrita Pilgaonkar) and his brother Bablu develops a good relationship with Sweety’s younger sister Golu Gupta. This season ends with a bloody wedding where Munna takes revenge by killing Sweety and Bablu in front of Guddu. This angers Guddu, which makes it clear that in the future, there is going to be a lot of bloodshed in the Mirzapur.

Season 2

Season 2 begins with the devastating events of Season 1 where Guddu and Golu survive and now prepare to take revenge on the Tripathis. Meanwhile, Kaleen Bhaiya continues his dirty work of crime and politics while Munna fights for his power and dreams.

This season delves deeper into the complexities of power and deception as old alliances are broken and new ones are formed. Beena Tripathi (played by Rasika Dugal), who was Kaleen’s second wife, also helps Guddu and Golu get justice, and becomes an important player for the two to take revenge on the Tripathis. Tensions mount as people’s infighting grows and they face new and terrible betrayals. Munna’s complex relationship with Madhuri Yadav (played by Isha Talwar) adds a very interesting layer to the story. This season gets more interesting when Guddu and Golu oppose Kaleen Bhaiya and Munna in a battle for authority.

This fight changed Mirzapur forever where Guddu presumes the leadership and Tripathis faced a lot of difficulties to come to power.

After seeing new twists and betrayals in these two seasons, it is going to be a lot of fun to watch Mirzapur Season 3, so stay tuned.

Mirzapur Season 3 Review – Non-stop thrills that will leave you wishing for more

Mirzapur season 3 has very tangled plotting, a very high death count and very confusing deal making. The new season’s aim is the chasing and unification of power.

The new chapter begins when Guddu (Ali Fazal) and Golu (Shweta Tripathi Sharma) don’t bear the brunt of Munna’s destruction. The successor of Mirzapur’s strongman Akhandanand left behind a very powerful widow who was the Chief Minister of another state Madhuri (Isha Talwar) and the possibility of a civil war. Akhandanand, played beautifully by Pankaj Tripathi, has been a very scary character in this season. The other players learn the difficult path that Akhandanand knew from the beginning.

Guddu and Golu are denied their right to Mirzapur Piri by their opponent Sharad (Anjum Sharma) who joins forces with Akhandanand and Madhuri. Akhandanand’s wife Beena (Rasika Dugal), who plotted Munna’s murder is secretly planning to protect the inheritance of her newborn son. It’s a tough time for Shatrughan (Vijay Varma) as he balances his love for Golu and the betrayal of his autocratic father Dadda (Lilliput).
Mirzapur Season 3 Review by bloggbuzz

The difficult daddies, who were one of Mirzapur’s biggest annoyances, ruined Guddu’s most cherished moments.

Guddu’s upright father Ramakant (Rajesh Tailang) took the moral high ground, much to the surprise of his wife Vasudha (Sheeba Chadha), daughter Dimpy (Harshita Shekhar Gaur) and Dimpy’s fiance, Mirzapur’s money manager Robin (Priyanshi Painyuli). Returning director Gurmeet Singh joins Anand Iyer to create episodes that are filled with pessimism, betrayal, and deception. The new season is developed by Apurva Dhar Badgaiyan and written by Badgaiyan, Avinash Singh Tomar, Avinash Singh, and Vijay Narayan Verma.

The selfish, absurd nature of heartland politics is one of the most explored themes this season, which proudly takes pride in its bloated form.

It shows a very strong relationship between Guddu and Golu on one side and Shatrughan on the other. But none of them had any compassion, one of them gouges out a man’s eyes for no reason but the show makes you care about what they land up. Vijay Verma has very well expressed the pain of Shatrughan over his second life. Golu has a very complicated relationship with his brother-in-law Guddu, and it is not clear why the characters are behaving like this, on the basis of what we already know about them. Ali Fazal, who finally comes into his own, and Shweta Tripathi are the most satisfying actors among such a large cast.

The lust for power as a zero-sum game is most clearly portrayed in the characters of Madhuri and Sharad.

Conclusion

If you have watched the first 2 seasons, then you will enjoy watching the Mirzapur Season 3. If you have not watched the first 2 seasons, then I would say that you should binge watch all the 3 seasons of Mirzapur because this web series is a package of suspense, thrill, twists, deception and power, which you will not be satisfied with after watching it for just one time.
