WILD WILD PUNJAB is such a comedy movie that will make you laugh out loud
WILD WILD PUNJAB has lots of dil, dosti, drama and comedy. 2024 was the treasure of Netflix’s original Hindi movies till now. After the social issue drama of Bhakshak came the very interesting murder mystery Murder Mubarak, then came the excellent biographical drama Amar Singh Chandha, Maharaj and Heeramandi, and now Netflix has changed its gear by bringing a fierce comedy movie Wild Wild Punjab, whose trailer itself made us laugh.
Netflix had announced quite a while ago that it will release its next movie from Luv Ranjan’s production house which is Wild Wild Punjab. The movie is directed by Simarpreet Singh and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The movie has been released on Netflix on 10th July i.e. today so don’t forget to watch this movie because it is a big comedy about 4 ‘Jigri yaars’ who navigate relationships in the worst way possible.
The trailer of WILD WILD PUNJAB was out a few days ago which is loved by the people and a new song of it also came out, I AM OVER YOU, which is also thoroughly enjoyed and liked by the audience and today, This movie has been released on Netflix and now, the wait is finally over.
WILD WILD PUNJAB is a story of drunken ‘jigri yaars’ who want to help their friend move on from his breakup. Little do they realize that they are about to embark on an unexpected and turbulent journey. Goons, fake girlfriend, beeping sound of abusive words, mistaken identity make this movie even more funny and spicy.
Wild Wild Punjab revolves around a heartbroken lover Rajesh Khanna also known as Khanna (Varun Sharma) who confronts his ex-partner at her wedding in front of her family, without paying any attention to groom and the baraatis and utters the four magical words, “I’m over you!” His gang of friends Mr. Honey Singh, a.k.a. Honey Paaji (Manjot Singh), Maan Arora, a.k.a. Arore (Sunny Singh), and Gaurav Jain, a.k.a. Jainu (Jassie Gill) plan a scheme and encourage him to get ready for some fun. They all go on a fun-filled road trip where instead of wrongs turning right, things turn even worse.
To help Khanne get the closure, Radha (Patralekhaa) and Meera (Ishita Raj) travel with him through the colorful but chaotic world of Punjab, encountering more eccentric characters.
Luv Ranjan adds the flavour of dude flicks to his latest buddy movie in which he excels.

What’s great in WILD WILD PUNJAB
Wild Wild Punjab revolves around the beauty of friendship which the audience finds relatable. Be it helping your friend move on from a breakup, supporting them in all situations or adding more fun to the movie by going on a road trip together, it will surely make you happy.
When you watch this movie, you will remember the special moments of your friendship when you comforted your heartbroken friend. Wild Wild Punjab is a nostalgic journey that shows the true meaning of friendship and brotherhood in a very good way. Many scenes in the movie were very funny but it seemed as if funny things were forcibly added at some places. The filmmakers tried very hard to make it entertaining but it was possible in only a few scenes. These genuine comedy scenes made the movie a pleasure to watch.
What’s not great enough in WILD WILD PUNJAB
The comedy highlights in the trailer are the same in the movie as well, just with some added dose of comedy. There is nothing exciting in this movie and the story is so predictable that you will know that what is going to happen next and there are no surprising or shocking elements. It is not that the movie is dragging things forcefully or adding unnecessary drama, the story is quite entertaining and funny.

1. Varun Sharma
Varun Sharma (born on 4 June 1990) is a well-known Indian actor and comedian. Although he is known for his many comic and supporting roles in both Hindi and Punjabi movies, he is best known for his role ‘Chooche’ which he played in the movie “Fukrey”. He made his debut in the 2013 movie Fukrey, after which he has gained a lot of popularity. He has received two Star Guild Awards one for “Most Promising Debut (Male)” and the other for “Best Performance in a Comic Role”. Apart from this, he has also received the Zee Cine Award for “Best Actor in a Comic Role”.
2.Sunny Singh
Sunny Singh (born 6 October 1985) is an Indian actor who works only in Hindi movies. After working a lot in television, he made his debut with a very good role in “Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji (2011)” and “Akash Vani (2013)” in which he played a supporting role. His commercial success came with “Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2015)” and “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweet (2018)”. He made his television debut in 2007 with Star Plus’s popular show “Kasautii Zindagii Kay”.
3. Jassie Gill
Jasdeep Singh Gill also known as Jassie Gill (born 26 November 1988) is an Indian singer, live performer and actor who works in Punjabi and Hindi films. He did his debut in Punjabi cinema with “Mr. and Mrs. 420 (2011)” and in Hindi cinema with “Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi (2018)”. His most famous song is “Nakhre” which was released in 2017 and another well-known movie is “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” where he worked with Salman Khan which was released in 2023.
4.Manjot Singh
Manjot Singh (born 7 July 1992) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. He is well known for his roles in films like “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!”, “Student of the Year” and “Fukrey”. He has also won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his role in “Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!”. He also participated in Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi Level 3 in 2010. He is already well known for his roles and now people are eager to see him in Wild Wild Punjab.
5.Patralekha Paul
Patralekha Paul (born 20 February 1990) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. Paul made her debut in the film “Citylights (2014)” for which she received the Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer – Female. She is the wife of Rajkumar Rao, who is a well-known personality.
6. Ishita Raj
Ishita Raj (born July 12, 1990) is an Indian actor and model. She is known for her work in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Now I am looking forward to seeing her in Wild Wild Punjab.
