Star Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant met with an accident on Friday morning (December 30) while go back to Delhi from Uttarakhand. His car hit a divider, and it caught fire after the accident. As per several pictures that have online, he has suffered multiple burn injuries, but his condition is not stable, and the 25-year-old cricketer is out of danger.
The BCCI issued a statement on star cricketer Rishabh Pant’s accident. In its statement, BCCI said, “Rishabh Pant suffered cuts on forehead, a ligament tear in his right knee and abrasions on the back. He was alone the car at the time of the accident, broke the Mercedes wind screen to escape from the vehicle after it caught fire. Pant is out of danger and conscious. He also hurt his right wrist, ankle, and toe and has suffered abrasion injuries on his back. His condition remains stable and has now been shifted to Max Hospital, Dehradun.”
Rishabh Pant Car Accident: Rishabh Pant was on his way to his hometown Roorkee from Delhi when he reportedly lost control of his car and hit the divider. The car suddenly caught fire and was burn within minutes, police sources said.
Rishab Pant Road Accident:
Wicket-keeper-batsman Rishabh Pant met with an accident near Uttarakhand’s Roorkee early on Friday morning and suffered injuries after his car rammed into road dividers and later caught fire. Pant, who is reportedly out of danger, was on his way to his hometown Roorkee from Delhi when the accident happen.
After being at first admitted to a private hospital in Roorkee, Pant was later referred to a Dehradun hospital. He has reportedly tolerated injuries on the head, along with a ligament injury on his right ankle, police sources said.
Talking to the media, Medical Superintendent at Max Hospital, Dehradun, Dr Ashish Yagnik said that prima apparent they did not find any serious injuries on the cricketer and he is stable. “He is under evaluation and a team of doctors is attending to him. Only after some tests can we tell more. As of now, he is stable and there is not much to worry about,” Yagnik said.
“A team of doctors is talking to him and based on what he is telling us about the injuries, he is getting assess. Prima facie, we did not find any serious injuries. Orthopedic and plastic surgeons are attending him,” Yagnik further said, adding that the hospital will soon issue a health bulletin.
According to a statement issued by the state government, Pant’s car met with an accident near Mohammadpur Jat under the Mangalore police station area in Haridwar district around 5.30 am. He was soon rushed to Saksham Hospital in Roorkee by the 108 ambulance and local police. From there, he was referred to Dehradun.
“Taking details from the officers on cricketer Rishabh Pant injured in a car accident, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami asked officers to ensure all possible arrangements for the proper treatment of the cricketer. Praying for his speedy recovery, CM announced that the state government will bear all expenses of the treatment. An air ambulance will also be provided if required,” the statement by the state government said.
