The names of innumerable revolutionaries are present in the list of the names of the revolutionaries of our country and one of the names of these revolutionaries is also the name of ‘Rajguru’ Ji, who had dedicated his life to our country.
Shivaram Hari Rajguru was a famous Indian insurgent. Shivaram Hari Rajguru was an in-depth friend of Sardar Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev. Rajguru maintained this friendship till his death.
The martyrdom of Shivaram Hari Rajguru given for the independence of the country got his name inscribed in golden letters in Indian history. The martyrdom of Rajguru, Bhagat Singh, and Sukhdev continues to inspire the youth of Bharat even these days. The names of Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev are incomplete till the name of Rajguru is infatuated with them.
At a very young age, Shivaram Hari Rajguru had sacrificed his life for his country and his sacrifice is still remembered by the people of India. Rajguru was very brave, courageous, and cool from childhood. India was in love with her mother since childhood. Because of this hatred of the British was natural.

Birth and family of Shivaram Hari Rajguru
Shivaram Hari Rajguru was related to the Maharashtra state of India and he was born on August 24, 1908, in a simple family of this state. The name of the village in which he was born in Pune city of Maharashtra was Khed.
Rajguru Ji’s childhood was spent in this village. Rajguru Ji’s father Hari Narayan had done two marriages. He had a total of 6 children from his first marriage and he did his second marriage to Parvati Ji and he had five children from this marriage and Rajguru Ji was his fifth child.
Shivaram Hari Rajguru Ji belonged to a Brahmin family and according to the current information in history, Rajguru Ji was brought up by his mother Parvati Bai and his elder brother. Because when he was only 6 years old, his father Hari Narayan had died at that time and because of that he was raised by his mother and elder brother.
Shivaram Hari Rajguru Ji was of a fearless nature since childhood. He was always cheerful. Since childhood, Shivaram Hari Rajguru had respect for Veer Shivaji and Lokmanya Tilak and was their ultimate devotee. Also used to do exercise every day.
Shivaram Hari Rajguru’s Education
He was a great devotee of Veer Shivaji and Lokmanya Tilak since childhood. They had no answer even in the face of the crisis. But sometimes they were careless. Rajguru did not feel like studying, so he had to bear the disdain of his elder brother and sister-in-law. Poor mother could not speak anything.
Shivaram Hari Rajguru Ji did his studies in a Marathi school in his own village. After living in his village for a few years, Rajguru Ji had gone to Varanasi and after coming to Varanasi, he studied Vidyanayan and Sanskrit subjects.
At the age of just 15, Shivaram Hari Rajguru jihad also got a lot of knowledge of the scriptures of the Hindu religion and he was a knowledgeable person. It is said that he had memorized Siddhanta Kaumudi (Sanskrit’s lexicon) in a very short time.
Shivaram Hari Rajguru Ji’s journey to becoming a Revolutionary
Since childhood, Shivaram Hari Rajguru had the urge to join Jung-e-Azadi. While studying in Varanasi, Rajguru came in contact with many revolutionaries of our country. Those who were fighting to get our country free from the British.Chandrashekhar was so much affected with Azad that Shivaram Hari Rajguru party forthwith joined the Hindustan Socialist Republican Army, at that point he was solely sixteen years previous.
After meeting these revolutionaries, Rajguru Ji also engaged in the struggle to liberate our country and he joined the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association (HSRA) in the year 1924.
The main objective of him and his companions was to create fear in the minds of the British officers. Along with this, he used to make people aware by roaming around and awaken for Jung-e-Azadi.
This association was a revolutionary organization, which was formed by Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and other revolutionaries. The goal of HSRA was only related to the independence of the country.
As a member of this association, Rajguru Jihad worked in cities like Punjab, Agra, Lahore, and Kanpur to connect the people there with his association. At the same time, within a very short time, Rajguru jihad also became a very good friend of Bhagat Singh Ji, and together these two heroes had made many movements against British India.
Sanders Massacre
Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev, both considered Shivaram Hari Rajguru as their best companion. The team made a plan to kill Scott, the British officer responsible for the death of Lala Lajpat Rai. Rajguru and Bhagat Singh were chosen for this work. Rajguru used to keep looking for an opportunity to teach a lesson to the British, now he had got that opportunity.
On December 19, 1928, Rajguru, Bhagat Singh, and Chandrashekhar Azad under the able guidance of Sukhdev, J.J. Another English officer named P. Saunders, who had fired sticks at Lala Lajpat Rai at the behest of Scott, was killed. After the action, Bhagat Singh became English Sahib, Rajguru as his servant and Chandrashekhar Azad safely escaped from the eyes of the police.
Arrest
After Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt exploded the bomb in the assembly and got himself arrested, except Chandrashekhar Azad, all the members of the party including Sukhdev were arrested, only Rajguru survived.
At Azad’s behest, Rajguru went to Maharashtra for a few days to escape the police, but due to negligence, Rajguru was also caught after a sporadic struggle. The British committed many inhuman atrocities on Rajguru to know the address of Chandrashekhar Azad, but the brave Rajguru did not get distracted.
The police brought Rajguru along with all his companions and put him in a Lahore jail. All the companions were very happy to have met Mastmaula Veer Maratha Rajguru.
Court Case
In Lahore, all the revolutionaries were being tried for the Saunders murder case. The revolutionaries dragged the trial much longer than they could. Everyone knew that the court was a sham. His decision was already taken by the British government. Rajguru, Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev knew that the decree for their death had already been written, so why not wash away the British judge in the court with their gusto. Once Rajguru challenged a British judge in the court in Sanskrit. The judge was shocked Shivaram Hari Rajguru said- “Toom kya kahta hi”
Rajguru laughed towards Bhagat Singh and said- “Dude Bhagat, explain this in English. How will these fools understand our language”. All the revolutionaries started laughing and laughing. These revolutionaries had admitted in court that they wanted to avenge the death of Lala Lajpat Rai, a great hero of the freedom struggle in Punjab. In a demonstration against the British, Lala Lajpat Rai was killed by the brutal beating of the police.
Hanged on 23 March 1931
After the murder of the arrested police officer on Shivaram Hari Rajguru way to Pune, Rajguru went into hiding in Nagpur. There Shivaram Hari Rajguru took shelter at the house of an RSS worker. It was there that Shivaram Hari Rajguru met Dr. KB Hedgewar, with whom Rajguru made further plans. Before they might move with their arrangement, they were in remission by the police on their way to Pune. He was hanged alongside Bhagat Singh and Sukhdev on 23 March 1931. The 3 were cremated at Hussainwala on the banks of the Sutlej watercourse in Punjab’s Ferozepur district.
