Toyota to unveil the flex-fuel car in India on September 28

what is Flex Fuel?
A flexible-fuel vehicle (FFV) or dual-fuel vehicle (colloquially called a flex-fuel vehicle) is an alternative fuel vehicle with an internal combustion engine designed to run on more than one fuel, usually, gasoline blended with either ethanol or methanol fuel, and both fuels are stored in the same common tank. Modern flex-fuel engines are capable of burning any proportion of the resulting blend in the combustion chamber as fuel injection and spark timing are adjusted automatically according to the actual blend detected by a fuel composition sensor. Flex-fuel vehicles are recognized as bi-fuel vehicles, where two fills are put away in isolated tanks and the motor runs on one fuel at a time, for illustration, compressed common gas (CNG), condensed petroleum gas (LPG), or hydrogen.
flex-fuel car: How much does it cost?
India will soon get its first Flex Fuel fueled car. The declaration has been made by transport minister Nitin Gadkari. The car will be made by Toyota and it’ll be disclosed by the minister on September 28.
The declaration was made during the Vehicle Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA) Yearly Session.
Gadkari claimed that car producers got to center on building vehicles that can reduce India’s dependency on fuel imports and even look for more eco-friendly choices such as Flex Fuel. He claimed that the govt is prepared to provide an advantage by allowing 20 percent ethanol in petrol, reducing in general costs of the fuel.
