After weeks of speculation about their divorce, Natasa Stankovic and Hardik Pandya have confirmed that they have separated. The couple released a joint statement on social media on Thursday evening, stating that they have ‘mutually decided to separate’.

Natasa and Hardik kept their comments off while posting the statement, but the internet still found a way to have its say. Despite the couple’s “mutual” decision to part ways, Natasa is unfairly targeted and criticised by the people over their divorce.
NATASA RECEIVES HATE AGAIN
As soon as the statement was released, Natasha faced hate again on social media, as was the case when she removed Pandya from her surname on Instagram. One person commented on the news, “Hard to believe”, while another wrote, “Failed to recognise such a good person. But that was the least of it as one person commented, “He will find someone else,” while another wrote, “Leave her sir, you deserve much better than her.”
There was again a flood of negative comments over how much Natasha will get in the divorce, with one person writing, “Kitni property le ja rahi hai Hardik bhaiya ye??” “Unfollowed him. Only seen because of Hardik, no need to see him now, she has no identity,” a user commented, “She failed as a wife. She left him when he needed her the most. We all are with you Hardik.”
However, there was a section of people who came out in support of Natasha and criticised keyboard warriors for trolling and bashing the model without knowing the actual reason behind the divorce. Netizens emphasised that getting divorced was a “mutual” decision of the couple.
One user wrote, “Guys don’t judge her. They both are equally answerable for everything. Hope they both have a better future”, another wrote, “How are people assuming Natasha initiated the divorce and blaming her without knowing the actual reason behind the divorce, they both had taken a mutual decision to separate but how are people showing sympathy towards Hardik and hatred towards Natasha”.
NATASA STANKOVIC’S CALL FOR SYMPATHY
In her heartfelt message, Natasa requested her followers to reconsider their quick and harsh judgements, highlighting the need for empathy and patience in understanding the situations of others. “Just a random thought,” she started in the video, “People, how quickly do we judge? If we see someone who is acting out of character, we don’t slow down, we don’t observe and we don’t have any empathy. We start judging straight away. We don’t know what has happened, what happened, what is behind the whole thing, the whole act, the whole situation, so we should be less judgemental. Notice more, have more empathy and be patient with people.”
The couple’s relationship has been under intense scrutiny recently, due to Natasa’s absence from the celebratory posts following India’s T20 World Cup win and their avoidance of public comments on their marital status. Despite these, Natasa and Hardik did not address the rumours of their separation.
PANDYA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH NATASA
Hardik and Natasa used to celebrate their wedding anniversary on May 31, 2020. The couple welcomed their baby boy on July 30 of the same year. Pandya and Natasa renewed their vows in a ceremony in Udaipur in February 2023, almost three years after their wedding.
On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the couple revived their wedding oath in a destination wedding in Udaipur. Their close friends and family members attended this ceremony. The wedding rituals on February 14 were performed as per Christian rituals with a white theme.
Pandya had revealed after the T20 World Cup 2024 that he was going through a tough phase but he never spoke publicly about his troubles even once.
On Thursday, Pandya was dropped from the Indian leadership group for the Sri Lanka tour where India will play 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs.
Natasa Stankovic, who gained initial fame through TV commercials and later appeared in films like ‘Satyagraha’ and ‘Dhishkiyaoon’, continues to share motivational messages and thoughts on social media amid constant criticism from the media.
On the other hand, Hardik is also silent about the discussions going on about his relationship with his wife.
It is indeed disappointing that despite Hardik and Natasa’s official announcement of a “mutual” decision to separate, Natasa is the sole focus of criticism online. Such targeted trolling only makes the situation worse. Instead of trolling, they both deserve respect and support as it is a tough time for both of them. Both parties deserve respect and understanding instead of being trolled.
