Cloudburst In Dharamshala triggers flash flood

Monsoon had hit Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh with Floods, cloudbursts, and extensive destruction. Heavy and continuous rainfall on Monday.

The cloudburst occurred in the Kangra district of the state on Monday morning. It has caused serious damages to the public properties in Bhagsu village.

According to the viral videos, the cloudburst has taken place over Dharamshala and has triggered flash floods in the area. A highway near Jhakri in the Rampur area of Shimla district has been blocked by a cloudburst.

Some Locals have shared a video of the flash floods in which we see a small drain took the form of a river after flash floods and waterlogging in the area. On Monday the flash floods occurred after cloudbursts were reported in the area that led to constant rains. Authorities have already put the area on alert mode after a flood-like area in the district. The authorities are on alert mode and the state administration is keeping a constant track of the floods.

The (IMD) India Meteorological Department has said that Himachal Pradesh will experience heavy rains in the coming days also. The weather department has also issued an orange weather warning of heavy rains to very heavy rains in plains and mid-hills on July 12 and 13 July and a yellow weather warning for July 14 and 15 in the state.

The MET office in Shimla has said that the landslides and uprooting of several trees can occur due to heavy and constant rainfall and has also alerted the general public and tourists not to go near any river backs as there can be an increase in water level.

On the other hand, IMD had predicted that the monsoon would hit the region by June, but there is no clue that rains will reach Delhi, Haryana, parts of west Uttar Pradesh, and west Rajasthan.
