5 Reasons not to burst crackers

Diwali celebrations are considered incomplete without fireworks. But can give up to save the environment?

 We’re beyond any doubt many would raise the question of why there’s an outrage, or rather a  plea  as it were during Diwali, but here are five reasons that might just convince you to provide bursting crackers this year.

Global Warming

Bursting crackers increase heat, carbon dioxide, and numerous poisonous gasses within the air, which causes a rise in the temperature of the soil and polluted air driving global warming.

Garbage

Disregard PM’s Swachh Bharat campaign, but would you like to see garbage all over after you wake up on the day of Diwali? The crackers burst not as it was contaminated by contaminating the air, but moreover pollutes the land. See for yourself!

The harsh winter season has not even started in the capital city, the air is filled with smog as of now. Particulate matter blended with the smoke from automobiles is choking Delhi enough. During Diwali, the contamination goes up by more than 30% due to the bursting of firecrackers.  Do you need to choke yourself and others around you more?

Bad Effects On Animals

• The sound of bursting crackers can be pretty traumatic to pets, as they cannot bear loud sounds.
• Dogs have the incredible hearing ability, and they can detect sounds that human beings cannot hear. Thus firecrackers with low decibels can affect their temperament.
• Animals feel scared and look for a safer place; the noise of firecrackers makes them unstable, leading to shivering, drooling, howling, psychosis, or excessive barking.
• Fireworks are terrifying for various animals and dogs as the sounds cause high levels of anxiety and fear.
• The hearing of many animals is much more sensitive than it is in humans, so the explosions of fireworks are not only more disturbing to them, but they can damage their hearing more severely.
• A 2013 study by the University of Bristol’s School of Veterinary Sciences found fireworks were the most common trigger for fearful behavior in dogs. Responses included: trembling, shaking, hiding, seeking comfort, destruction, urination, and salivation.

Why can’t we refrain from bursting crackers this Diwali?
